Job Summary

We are currently seeking multiple enthusiastic candidates to join the Designer/Drafting department. Qualified candidates are well-organized, able to multi-task, and passionate about exterior building skin design and fabrication. Designer / Drafting position focuses on design and drafting of exterior facade panels. This position is perfect for a committed and experienced individual seeking long-term growth with a company known for taking on challenging iconic architectural projects.

 
Experience: 2–5 Years
 
Profile: Capable professional with a solid understanding of construction details and growing expertise in cladding design.
 

Key Responsibilities

• Intermediate level user of Rhinoceros 3D software.
• Beginner level of Grasshopper scripting for Rhinoceros 3D software.
• Expert knowledge of as-built conditions coordination with fabrication.
• Have expert knowledge of reading construction drawings and construction details.
• Capable of resolving construction details that lack clarity.
• Help develop construction details for missing information in construction documents.
• Shop drawing preparation for intermediate level to complex level cladding projects.
• Perform material takeoffs using internal scripting and automation tools within Rhinoceros 3D software.
• Perform panel fabrication design using internal scripting and automation tools within Rhinoceros 3D software.

Development Focus:

• Gain expert knowledge of cladding industry materials and construction details.
• Gain expert knowledge of cladding details and best practices in construction principles.
• Gain expert knowledge and understanding of water mitigation principles and engineering deflection principles that are applicable to the cladding industry.
• Develop expert knowledge of Rhinoceros 3D software.
• Gain working knowledge of Grasshopper scripting for Rhinoceros 3D software.
